Meet the Founder & Curator

I'm Oscar C. Edmond, III. I am passionate about my culture, my history, and how it's told. Black History doesn't get the platform to authentically and artistically be displayed in several areas. Many of our artifacts that are now positioned in museums and collectors’ portfolios are just displayed pieces with little to no backstory to them. Obtaining possession of these artifacts isn't enough. I believe that the history behind it provides generations with the knowledge base they need to respect, understand, and appreciate their heritage.

I have personally invested in making sure the generational impact and clarity of African American artifacts are given the attentiveness it deserves. I have collected a massive portfolio of artifacts over the last 25 years. I travel throughout the country to educational institutions, faith-based organizations, corporations, and not-for-profits businesses curating numerous exhibitions. I do this for the love of African American History and the lack of acknowledgments for the contributions that we have made but yet to received for the building of this country. The African American community and others deserve to know accuracy and validity within all sides of history.

I am a grandfather of six beautiful children and the father of five powerful adults. It is because of them that my wife and I feel so passionate about making sure that each generation teaches the next valuable lessons of the past, present, and future. With my knowledge, education in Divinity, belief in the truth, and love for my culture, I have dedicated my life to do just that!
