Our History. For Everyone. By Us.
Our History. For Everyone. By Us.
Greetings,
My name is Oscar C. Edmond, III, and I am deeply committed to my culture, history, and its accurate portrayal. Black History often lacks the platform to be authentically and artistically presented in various domains. Many artifacts currently housed in museums and private collections are displayed without sufficient context or backstory. Merely possessing these artifacts is inadequate; I believe that understanding the history behind them provides future generations with the knowledge necessary to respect, comprehend, and appreciate their heritage.
Over the past 25 years, I have dedicated myself to ensuring that African American artifacts receive the attention they deserve. I have amassed a substantial collection of artifacts and traveled across the country to educational institutions, faith-based organizations, corporations, and non-profit organizations to curate numerous exhibitions. My motivation stems from a profound love for African American History and an awareness of the insufficient acknowledgment of our contributions to the development of this nation. It is imperative for the African American community and others to understand the accuracy and validity of all sides of history.
I am a grandfather of eight wonderful grandchildren and a father to five accomplished adults. My wife and I are passionate about ensuring that each generation passes on valuable lessons from the past, present, and future. With my education in Divinity, unwavering belief in truth, and love for my culture, I have devoted my life to this mission.
